666: Is ‘the Beast’ The Devil, Nero, Caligula, Blair, Or Heather Mills?
There are a billion hypotheses floating around as to the meaning of 666 (or at least, it feels that way). What do you think it represents?
Irenaeus suggested that the number indicates that the beast is the sum of all apostasy committed over the course of six thousand years.[23]
Robert Graves suggested that DCLXVI, 666 in Roman numerals, is an abbreviation for the Latin sentence “Domitianus Caesar Legatos Xti Violenter Interfecit”, or “The Emperor Domitian violently killed the envoys of Christ”.[24]
The Roman numeral writing of 666, “DCLXVI” is also the first six Roman numerals, written in descending order.
In Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), the number 666 may be considered mystical and holy and may represent the physical universe.[25]
Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the Beast for which 666 stands symbolizes many governments.

Can’t tell you that, but if 666 is the number of the beast, the 668 must be the neighbour of the beast. (Or possibly 616 and 618, depending upon which number it really is.

Hmm. I’m finding it difficult to choose between Caligula and Heather Mills, and Paris Hilton.
Well, for me, 666 is the sign for the following people:
Dick Clark = Look at him, he never ages.
Margaret Cho = The only comedian that I never laughed at.
Yoko Ono = Her singing made my ears bleed.
Craig T. Nelson = He just scares me.
Nancy Grace = I just don’t like her.

My issue is “The Qabalah of Aleister Crowley, Three Texts”, with an introduction by Israel Regardie, published by Samuel Weiser, New York, 1973.
Fun reading. Inspite of the reputation, Crowley studied this sort of material better than any other 19th Century scholar.

6 is the number of man – I read somewhere that if you take the name POPE and convert it into Latin and change the letters to their numerical value, you get 666.

But what are the other two sixes for?
I was told that 666 is the number of man. I don’t that man but it’s his number. No really that what it is to me. I believe that there is no Evil only knowledge. There is no good only knowledge. Why 666 I don’t know but someday I’m sure we will know all. After all we are as God was….so we will be as God is. (Not sure but why not)
