Fastest way to learn a new language?

I’m an American and I only speak English fluently although I speak a little (VERY little) German. I had three years of Latin in high school. I’m looking to learn to speak Spanish, but I don’t want to take classes if I don’t have to. Anyone know of a product/system that worked for them?

I take have been taking french the past 2 years (7th and 8th grade) and I am eligible to take honors french 1 next year. I also considering Latin, because most english roots are from Latin. In the future I want to be a doctor or an engineer. people say maybe latin will help me with english and that many medical terms are Latin based. yet, i think colleges will be more impressed with me being in AP french in 11th or 12th grade. I am also interested in speaking french ( as I am in latin) which should I choose? Which will help me better?

Best ways to learn spanish by the time I reach junior year?

Okay so, I have a bunch of friends from Spain who speak English and Spanish fluently and are really interesting people. They made me want to learn Spanish and become bilingual, too. I really really want to go to Spain when I am in high school for 4-6 months, but, I would first need to learn more spanish! Well, I’m only in the seventh grade, and I know if I want to learn a second language it would be easier for me to do that now while I’m still young. I take a spanish course in school but it’s like ULTIMATE BEGINNER classes. So, what should I do? Is Rosetta Stone actually good? I know i have enough to buy it… and if I were to buy it, should I get Latin America or Spain? I’m also looking into taking summer classes, but that’s in nearly half a year. Any Advice?
