I am writing a story that involves Latin not being a dead language, could someone give me an idea on what it would sound like? It would be easy if you could relate to other accents, I think it might sound like British, Italian, or Spanish? But I’m not sure, thus reasoning for posting it on here. Hopefully looking forward for an informative answer

So, as I go into high school I’m debating whether to learn Latin or Chinese. As of now, it looks like I’m going to take chinese. I already speak English and Spanish so I think by learning Chinese it would be a large step. I remember that I started speaking Spanish when i was about 5. I don’t know, but I just speak it- no one ever taught me. Seeing as I have never been in a Spanish class and don’t plan to be in one will colleges undermind the fact that I speak fluent spanish, but have never been taught it by a teacher?

I am fluent in three languages already and I am learning French, Latin, and Chinese right now. Can this be seen as an attractive quality by high ranked schools?
